Studio Buzz for video content Auckland New Zealand

A Digital Studio for Small Business Video Content

You know you should be doing video. You've just been avoiding it.

Video is the fastest way to build trust with people who've never met you. It answers questions before customers pick up the phone, shows the people behind the business and works across your website, social media and email, all from one session.

The problem isn't that you don't have anything to say. It's that recording yourself feels unnatural when you're doing it alone on your phone. That's where Studio BUZZ can help.

What does a session at Studio BUZZ look like?

You arrive, we make you a coffee and we talk through what you want to create. No scripts required, we'll prompt you with questions so your answers come out naturally. Most people are surprised how quickly they relax.

A typical session is 90-minutes on camera. This is the right amount of time so you stay fresh.

What if I'm terrible on camera?

Almost everyone says this before their first session. Almost no one says it after.

The difference is having someone in the room who knows how to draw the real you out. Not a polished performance, just you talking about your business the way you would over a coffee. That's what people connect with. That's what converts.

We've filmed tradies, accountants, lawyers, physios and everything in between.

We are super happy with the results

"It was reassuring to know that Danni has an excellent understanding of our brand and was really clear with what content we needed to ensure we captured the right content to get our marketing messages across. On the day, Danni was very encouraging and calming, there were a few early nerves but these were forgotten with Danni’s relaxed manner. With well organised and well structured questions, the answers given allowed us to tick off a lot of the likely questions and concerns for our future clients.

All in all, we had a fun afternoon. We knew that all bases were covered as Danni's experience and planning showed, it certainly eased the burden for us in terms of just needing to organise the logistical part of the day and having the right people in the right place at the right time - Danni took care of all of the related content and questions and we are super happy with the results. It has filled out our marketing information for clients and as a result we are having more contacts made with us directly after people have been to our website and have seen the positive shared experiences from our videos."

Don’t wing it

Practice talking about your business and industry in front of a mirror. Once you've practised, present your ideas to a trusted friend or family member.

Slow down

Nervous or inexperienced speakers tend to talk way too fast. Consciously slow your speech down and add pauses for emphasis.

Before you come in: three things that make a big difference

What to wear

Think about what you’ll wear for filming and make sure you’ll be comfortable. Avoid pure white, skin tones, black and deep blue as they can blend into the background. Also, avoid patterns, plain colours are best.

  1. Answer common questions
Think about the questions you get all the time. Instead of repeating yourself, film a clear answer. Share it on your website or social media and you’ll be helping customers before they even pick up the phone.

  2. Explain your process
Whether you’re a builder explaining how you quote jobs or a lawyer breaking down how a consultation works, people love to understand the steps. It makes you approachable and sets you apart from the competition.

  3. Tell a customer story
Read a 5 star Google review and talk about the project or invite the happy client in for a chat. Hearing real people talk about their experience is powerful. Perfect to use as ad content, copy and creative.

  4. Teach a quick tip
Give away a small piece of advice that your audience can use straight away. A painter might talk about choosing paint finishes, or an accountant might share one tax-time reminder. These bite-sized tips position you as the go-to expert.

  5. Share your business journey
Your customers want to know the “why” behind your business. Recording your story gives you content for your website, social media, even email newsletters. It makes your brand feel human.

  1. Highlight your team
Get your staff involved. Conduct short interviews to introduce the people customers might see on site or in meetings. It builds familiarity and trust.

  2. Talk about new products or services
Launching something new? Use your studio time to record a quick show-and-tell. It’s more engaging than a photo and gives you video you can keep reusing.

  3. Collaborate with another business
Team up with someone you already refer work to, like a plumber with a builder, or an accountant with a mortgage broker. Record a chat together and you’ll both have content to share with your audiences.

  4. Record testimonials
If you’ve got a loyal customer who’s happy to speak on camera, use the studio to capture it. Video testimonials add weight to your website and give potential customers confidence to choose you.

  5. Behind-the-scenes updates
Talk about what’s happening in your business right now. A big project, a new hire or even just a busy week shows your business is active, real and relatable.

Not sure what to record? Here are practical ideas that work for tradies, professionals and service businesses.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to script my videos?

No. We'll send you a prep sheet before your session so you have some talking points, but we prompt you through it. Scripted videos usually look scripted — we avoid that.

What if I freeze up on camera?

It happens, and it's fine. We just stop and start again. Nothing goes in the edit that you're not happy with. Even if you are nervous at first you will gain confidence as the session moves forward. You can start your sentence again and practise different wording.

Can I bring a staff member or client with me?

Absolutely, team intros and video testimonials with clients are encouraged. The studio has room for extras, there is a green room available on Friday sessions.
See how to film testimonials here.

What do I actually get in the end?

You leave the session with footage ready to use. Raw files go straight to a shared Google Drive — vertical format for social reels, horizontal for website and YouTube. If you want editing, graphics or help publishing, that's available as an add-on. Monthly Buzz clients get this included.

Do you help with what to say?

Yes, that's half of what the session is. Before you come in, Danni will send you a prep sheet tailored to your business. On the day, she'll ask you questions and you answer them naturally. You don't need to arrive with a speech prepared. If you want deeper strategic planning around your content, just mention it when you book.

Need more help?

Need help with editing, publishing or turning your videos into a full marketing campaign? That's what our monthly packages are for.

Stop putting it off!

Book a session and we'll sort the rest. Bring your ideas or let us help you figure out what to film. Either way, you'll leave with content that works.
